The Youth Futurity is open to any persons 18 years of age or younger.
Classes shown will be: Yearling, 2 yr. old, 3 yr. old. In that order.

Studs and fillies will be shown together. Classes will be judged on 70% Movement and 30% Conformation.

CCQHA Breeders and Sale Futurities

Any horses participating in the Breeders Futuritiies must have been born in the year that either its Sire or Dam was a CCQHA Nominated Sire/Dam. Horses participating in the Sale Futurities must have been purchased at a CCQHA Sale. It is possible to have a horse eligible to participate in both Futurities, and win money from both events.
Classes shown on September 3, 2009: Yearling
Classes shown on September 4, 2009: 2 yr. old, 3 yr. old, 4 & 5 yr. old. (In that order.)

Breeders Futurities class will be separate from Sale Futurites class, but studs and fillies will be shown together in both classes.

NEW TO THE BREEDERS FUTURITIES FOR 2009!
Any stallion nominated in 2009 (stallions only) can compete for the Breeders money in his age class.
  For Example: A four year old stallion nominated in 2009 can compete in the four year old Breeders Class.
(Only Two, Three, Four, and Five year old stallions are eligible.)
Also, we are promoting the nominated stallions and mares in the 2009 CCQHA Sale Catalog along with their offspring that are in the sale!
Nominations for 2009 are due by July 1, 2009 (to be featured in Sale Catalog), with payment due by August 1, 2009. A late fee will be charged after that.
2008 Futurity Payout AmountsIn 2008, the CCQHA paid out $14,890.00 in Futurity Winnings!
While the Futurity payouts are based on the number of contestants entered in each particular event, below you can see how some of the Futurities paid out last year.

New in 2009!
Sale Horse Competition Jackpot + $1,000 added money!
(September 4, 2009)
Any horse can compete in this competition and sale, as long as the owner is a member of the CCQHA.
Entry Fee: $50 (to be jackpotted back +$1,000 added) + $10 cattle fee. Winning horse must be sold in the sale or prize money is forfeited.
At a minimum, competition will consist of boxing a cow, reining pattern, ranch type trail class and roping and stopping a cow.
Entries must be received by July 1, 2009, for horses to be included in the CCQHA Horse Sale Catalog.
